SGL - standard fittings with friction bearing technology, plastic rose, with return spring. Meets user class 3 in accordance with EN 1906, suitable for public buildings with high awareness of care. Not suitable for schools, barracks, stadiums etc.. Do not meet the requirements for fire protection doors.

OGL - object fittings with friction bearing technology with sub-structure made of steel with integrated cams and high-quality friction bearing. Without return spring, meets user class 4 in accordance with EN 1906, suitable for object building. Version for fire and smoke protection doors (9 mm) available at additional cost.

OKL - object fittings with ball bearing technology with a reinforced sub-structure made of stainless steel (5 mm) with integrated cams and return spring. Ball bearing to compensate axial and radial forces for extremely demanding requirements in buildings, meets class 4 in accordance with EN 1906, suitable for high-quality object building with high user frequency. Version for fire and smoke protection doors (9 mm) available at additional cost.

A general recommendation cannot be given, since the suitable panic pin depends on the lock and the door fitting (handle / panic bar system). A suitable panic pin length is recommended depending on the application case.

These are designations from DIN standard 18257 and define the burglary protection class.

D-110, D-115, D-116, D-120, D-190, D-330, D-335, D-410, D-415, D-490, D-510

There can be several reasons for this: M3 set screws (grub screws) are not tightened enough or not suitable for the square pin. The fastening screws have not be tightened enough.
Note: According to standard EN 1906, a clearance of up to 6 mm is permitted.

It depends on the version (completely riveted or fixed-twistable); the fitting can only be sent in to the manufacturer for replacement in both cases.

The pin length must always be considered in connection with the door fitting type. An OGL ROS fitting requires a different pin length than an OKL or OVR fitting used on a door of the same thickness.

The warranty terms for coated surfaces are the same as for conventional fittings. Quite often, however, no warranty can be granted because the fittings have not been treated properly or with care e.g. when used with shopping cart, keys in your hand etc..

The surface finishes stainless steel and anodised aluminium are very good and sturdy surfaces which are easy to clean and care for accordingly.

Technically possible, via relay at the rocker switch.
Note: This intervenes with the closing sequence, which means the system forfeits its approval according to DIBt.
Expert approval possible in individual cases.

The red button was pressed during installation, triggering the system. Remove the cover and readjust the service button.

The bar roller in the slide shoe (fixed leaf) may be defective, preventing the hook from staying in place. Replace the slide shoe. Please observe the DIN left and right specifications when ordering.

With ECO Newton TS-31/41 door closers at least 365mm.

With ECO Newton TS-61/51 door closers at least 400mm.

Note: This only works if there is no automatic fixed leaf locking device. For this case, an extended nut must be ordered for the lever and an adaption profile for the slide rail (system must be fitted 13 mm higher!)

- The magnet unit or cable feed to the slide rail can be defective. Check all the plug-type contacts.

- Incorrect wiring to the ceiling smoke switch, check wiring diagram, have wiring checked by a qualified electrician.

Technically possible through use of the accessories set FKL-SR-BG. When ordering, please observe the DIN left and right specifications and the specification of which leaf is to be fixed.

Note: This makes the system forfeit its approval according to EN 1158, which means it may not be operated on fire or smoke protection doors.

When installation is on the push side, very unfavourable angle and lever dimensions can occur sometimes depending on the door thickness.

1: Incorrect installation dimensions may have been used – please check whether the first drill hole on the mounting plate is 122 mm away from the hinge.

2: If fault cause 1 is not applicable, you need a special lever arm (lever arm extended by 5 cm) and the slide rail must be moved accordingly.

Pull side: Active leaf - FTS 63-R

Push side: SR-BG with fixed leaf TS 61 G or TS 41, active leaf pivot bearing 31.

Set an additional manual trigger switch.

Door closer (TS) with slide rail (e.g. TS 41) on the pull side, with standard and head mounting: 180°

TS with slide rail, on the push side, with standard and head mounting: approx. 140°, depending on the rebate geometry and thickness of the door as well as the positioning of the hinges.

TS with link arm (e.g. 50) on the pull side, with standard mounting: 180°

TS with slide rail, on the push side, with standard and head mounting: approx. 170°, depending on the rebate geometry and thickness of the door as well as the positioning of the hinges.

Note: The back-check is not active when door closers are head mounted.

No, the opening limiter does not have the same effect as a floor stopper, since almost all the
forces act on the slide rail and the hinges. It is only recommended for lightweight interior doors and is not a stop or overload protection for heavy doors, ITS and swing door drives.

Connection is directly at the cable terminal strip of the smoke sensing system. The hood must be removed for this purpose (undo the lower screw attachments). Assignment is as follows:

Ceiling detectors to 1-2-3, whereby 1 = +24 V, remove the jumper between 2 and 3,
manual switch (opener) to 7-8, remove the jumper.
Please note the installation instructions for the hold-open systems or ceiling detectors.

1.- Follow the installation dimensions given in the installation instructions very carefully.

2.- Set the closing force to the door size in accordance with the DIN table, in the case of heavy doors or thick seals the closing force must be selected correspondingly higher.

3.- Set the closing speed to approx. 5 - 7 seconds.

4.- Set the latching action in such a way that the door closes safely without banging.

5.- Adapt the back-check or closing delay (option, only with TS 61) to match the on-site requirements.

Increase the closing force or replace the door closer by one with higher closing force.
Reduce the closing speed and latching action to such an extent that the air can escape in time, reducing the counter pressure on the door.

We do not recommend the use of the ITS Multi Genius on exterior doors which are subject to climatic influences such as rain, snow, temperature fluctuations or wind loads. ECO does not provide any warranty for this.

The bearing technology used in both types of hinges is identical. The technology used is a patented, clearance-free ball bearing technology. This bearing always distributes the forces acting on a door equally to both hinges, thus guaranteeing functional safety for the highest demands in the building. The type 20 version of the OBX hinge has a cast and thus encased hinge roll, the OBX 18 has a rolled hinge roll. This increases the load-bearing capacity and burglary protection (bending open of the hinge roll) of the OBX 20 model.

Yes, there, is an ECO OBP hinge available for profile frames. It must be noted here, however, that there are no standard rebate geometries and fastening solutions available due to the different profiles from the manufacturers. An individual hinge must be developed and tested for each profile. Please contact the respective profile frame manufacturer to find out about possible applications and approvals for roll hinges.

Please note that the given door weights were established under test conditions. Frequent door slamming and unusual door treatment e.g. in barracks or schools, can restrict the load limit.

The frame boxes and frame parts of 3-dimensional hinges
(also known on the market as VX frame boxes) are standardised (height 84 mm). This means that an ECO OBX hinge fits in any 3-dimensional frame box.

The load-bearing bolt is used to stabilise the connection between the door and the hinge
(leaf part). It relieves the load on the fixing screws. Depending on the area of application, design and load on the door, the use of a lifting lug is recommended. Contact the door manufacturer directly for more information.

There are hinges available in different heights and roll thicknesses. In addition, there are
different types of hinge to match each type of door rebate (blunt, rebated, double rebate, rebate seal). There are special milling dimensions which must always be observed for each of these hinges. All milling dimensions are available from ECO e.g. in the ECO Compendium or on the website www.eco-schulte.de.

No, there is usually a transition period of 1 to 2 years.

Management and archiving at ECO and involvement with the respective standards work groups is coordinated in the “Development” and “Product Management” departments.

In principle yes, if this standard is a statutory order and is harmonised.
For example, if ECO manufactures rod handles and puts these into circulation, the products must be tested and approved in accordance with EN 1125.

This is usually stated in the product standard itself or in the construction regulations list for the respective country.

DIN stands for “Deutsches Institut für Normung” (German Institute for Standardisation) and not as often incorrectly stated for “Deutsche-Industrie-Norm” (German industrial standard). EN stands for “European Norm” (European standard).

Every adopted European standard is published as a DIN-EN standard in Germany with a national foreword. This national foreword is intended as an additional source of information for the user of the standard and is prepared by the equivalent German body responsible. Video Mounting Technology
